Things I made in Photoshop # 6

This was an animation assignment.  I created it from a beautiful photo by _______ that I found here:

Things I made in Photoshop # 5

This was also fun to do.
The top photo will be easily-recognizable to family members.  It's my grandmother
when she was a young woman.  In the photo she's standing outside in the snow playing a guitar.
I mostly remember her later years when she had MS and was wheelchair-bound.
It's hard for me to imagine her in the early picture-- who she was then,
and how she felt about who she was at the time that I knew her.

I used the eraser tool to write "WOW" around all of the images.
Wow. This was one of her trademark, sarcastic statements.

Things I made in Photoshop # 4

This was a lot of fun to do.
It's made from an old photo of my great-uncle Milton,
a man I never met or knew very much about.

Things I made in Photoshop # 3

This was a graffiti project based on the idea of using brush tools to color a wall.

Being a nerdy white crafter woman, I had no interest in making images that imitated real-life graffiti (which I have a lot of respect for and would actually like to do one day, but pretending to do it in Photoshop doesn't sound like a lot of fun).
So I made stuff like this, and some collage-type images that use family photos.

Things I made in Photoshop # 2

This is not a statement about the present Pope, or even, really, Popes in general.

I just liked the idea of a giant holy chicken-man.

Inner Motivation Troll

I think a lot of people have one of these:

It's a very hunched-over presence.
When it's in you it's hard to straighten up.

Flying Uterus

Max took this photo of a practice drawing I did on a recipe several years ago.

A friend was having a hysterectomy and I wanted to "help" her envision a happy ending for her uterus.
The final drawing showed her uterus flying away into the sky while she waved goodbye, standing on a bridge in the middle of a hike with her sons.

She was very kind in her reception of this drawing.

Below, the flying uterus is enjoying itself among the fajita spices:

Class Assignments in Photoshop

Sorry for the long pause.  I've started a digital design class which has kept me busy learning new Photoshop skills.

I'm going to post some of the things I've made, since it's what I've been doing lately.

I actually liked this one a lot.  It's made from little parts of a $100 bill --the nose, eye, and lips of Benjamin Franklin.  Benjamin Franklin had really thin lips!
