Roofers

Update:  

After writing this post in early June, I did a better job of saying hello to the roofing crew.  

We never got into a big conversation or became best friends, but we did talk once 

about bones around the picnic table being bad for dogs that were walking nearby.

I don't know if it improved anything for them, but it did for me.

This was an animation assignment.  I created it from a beautiful photo by _______ that I found here:

This was also fun to do.

The top photo will be easily-recognizable to family members.  It's my grandmother 

when she was a young woman.  In the photo she's standing outside in the snow playing a guitar.

I mostly remember her later years when she had MS and was wheelchair-bound.  

It's hard for me to imagine her in the early picture-- who she was then,

and how she felt about who she was at the time that I knew her.

I used the eraser tool to write "WOW" around all of the images.

Wow. This was one of her trademark, sarcastic statements.

This was a lot of fun to do.  

It's made from an old photo of my great-uncle Milton,

a man I never met or knew very much about.
